Gong Xi Fa Cai – Wishing you prosperity in the coming year.

Chinese New Year is the most important and longest of all the Chinese festivals and observed by Chinese and Western communities worldwide. In traditional Chinese custom the New Year is honoured for the first month of the new Lunar Calendar to bring luck and prosperity for the year ahead.

On Tuesday 5th February 2019 we will welcome the Year of The Pig. Those born under the sign of the Pig are ruled by the natural element of Earth, and so embody the typical characteristics we see in Earth signs. Earth signs tend to be very loyal, hardworking and caring towards others. However, Earth signs have a tendency to neglect their own well-being needs in order to achieve their personal and professional goals. This can be a common issue many people encounter, trying to balance the demands of a busy lifestyle whilst maintaining a high standard of health and well-being. At Ushvani we provide the perfect space to allow guests to restore their mind and body so they can meet the challenges of modern living.

This February we launch the Jade Stone Ritual, a treatment inspired by this coming Chinese New Year. In Chinese culture The Year of the Pig is synonymous with prosperity and good health and these are also attributes of Jade. In traditional Chinese medicine Jade is used to ease a multitude of health issues and increase positive energy. Please see the details of this Ritual on the Massage Treatments page.
